Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Chasm collects when you use our website and product, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@buildwithchasm.com.

What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waiting list or create an account.
- Your account identity, if you sign in with Google, which shares your name, email, and profile picture with us.
- The work you create in Chasm: your idea answers, your North Star, your research, and your progress through the journey.
- Payment information, processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your email, the amount paid, and a payment reference.
- Basic usage analytics, such as which pages are visited, collected in an aggregated and anonymised form to help us improve the product.
How we use it
- To give you access to the product and save your progress so you can pick up where you left off.
- To process your payment and confirm your access.
- To send you the occasional important message about your account or the product. We will not spam you.
- To understand how people use Chasm so we can make it better.
How your idea data is processed by AI
Chasm uses Anthropic's Claude models to turn your answers into a North Star and to run market research. When you use these features, the text you enter is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response. We only send what is needed to produce your result. We do not sell your ideas, and we do not use them to train models.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Chasm. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Supabase — stores your account and your saved work.
- Stripe — processes payments.
- Anthropic — powers the AI features described above.
- Vercel — hosts the website and provides anonymised analytics.
- Google — provides sign-in, if you choose it.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you are in the EU or UK, you have these rights under the GDPR. To make a request, email hello@buildwithchasm.com and we will respond within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data, except for the minimal payment records we are legally required to keep.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
